France
France is the European country I've visited most often, second only to the UK. Before each trip, I hear many people say that Paris is dirty, unsafe, and full of pickpockets; some even say it's far from the romantic city they imagined. But for me, Paris is certainly not a perfect city, yet it's also a place that's hard to completely dislike. It's a bit chaotic, a bit realistic, but at the same time, it truly possesses its own unique beauty and charm.
In Paris, you can spend a whole day leisurely exploring the Louvre, seeing artworks you'd only ever seen in textbooks or online; or stroll around the Eiffel Tower and wait to see it illuminated at night. The Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Seine, Montmartre—each place has its own unique atmosphere. Some attractions are very touristy, but when you actually stand there, you'll still think, "Ah, this is Paris."
During my recent trips to France, I also visited Disneyland Paris and experienced a completely different, dreamlike atmosphere compared to the city. During the day, you can admire architecture, shop, and enjoy desserts in Paris, and the next day you can immerse yourself in a fairytale world at Disneyland. Because of this, France is not just a tourist attraction for me, but a place that can be experienced in many different ways.
This page will record my travel experiences in France, including sightseeing, food, and practical tips. It covers how to plan your trip to classic Parisian attractions, which places are worth visiting, which areas require special attention, and places I found delicious, photogenic, or memorable. Hopefully, this will provide some guidance for those planning a self-guided trip to France, allowing you to carefully safeguard your belongings while still fully appreciating the unique charm of Paris as the city of romance.
