Belgium

This trip to Belgium lasted three days and two nights, mainly visiting Brussels and Bruges. My original impression of Belgium was probably just waffles, chocolate, fries, and beer, but after actually going there, I discovered that it's not only delicious, but also a great place to stroll, take photos, and experience the atmosphere of a European city.

Brussels, the capital of Belgium, is a great city to visit for first-time Belgians. The city center boasts a magnificent square, the iconic Manneken Pis, and numerous chocolate shops, waffle shops, and fries stalls along the streets for a leisurely stroll. While the city itself isn't as glamorous as Paris or London, it has a very everyday, very European feel, perfect for exploring at a relaxed pace.

Bruges was one of my favorite places on this trip to Belgium. The city has canals, cobblestone streets, old buildings, and cute little shops; walking around it really feels like stepping into a fairytale town. Compared to Brussels, Bruges has a slower pace and is more suitable for taking photos, strolling, or finding a café to sit down and relax.

This page will document my three-day, two-night itinerary in Belgium, including sightseeing, food recommendations, and practical travel experiences. It covers must-see places in Brussels and Bruges, recommended foods to try, transportation planning, and tips for making the most of a short trip. Hopefully, this will provide some guidance for those planning a self-guided trip to Belgium, allowing you to not only enjoy pancakes and chocolate but also experience the unique charm of these two cities.
