Czech Republic

Following Vienna, we took the train to Prague, Czech Republic. Compared to Vienna's hustle and bustle, Prague felt more like a small, old, and historic city. It didn't have the same overwhelming feeling of a capital city; instead, it was perfect for a leisurely stroll, allowing you to wander at a relaxed pace into the Old Town, Charles Bridge, and the alleyways.

A trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without trying the famous chimney-rolled ice cream. We also strolled across Charles Bridge, soaking in the city's classic historical atmosphere. The statues on the bridge, the distant castle, and the view of the Vltava River made Prague seem like a place steeped in history. The Astronomical Clock in the Old Town Square is another must-see. Although many people waited for the hourly chime, it was definitely worth seeing for a first-time visitor to Prague.

The only downside to this trip to Prague was that we were all sick at the time, so our itinerary wasn't very packed, and we didn't visit as many tourist attractions as we do in other cities. However, this also allowed us to experience Prague at a slower pace. Besides the classic sights, what surprised me most was the KFC in Prague; it was much tastier than I expected and became a memorable highlight of the trip.

This page will record my travel experiences in Prague, Czech Republic, including transportation from Vienna to Prague by train, Charles Bridge, the Astronomical Clock, and chimney-rolled ice cream. I hope this can provide some reference for those planning a self-guided trip to Prague, and also remind everyone that even if the itinerary doesn't go exactly as planned, you can still discover the lovely aspects of a city at your own pace.
